Zuzu eats dandelions.

In fact, he eats them all the time. I've never seen him without a basket that's just full of them, and he's always got some to share.

Due to the lack of dandelions, Zuzu goes into his version of hibernation during the winter season. Mostly, this means sitting in a cushy chair with his feet up in front of the fire, drinking lots of Myrtle the Tyrtle's dandelion wine, and chewing his way through a roomful of dried dandelions that he's built up in the fall.

Zuzu is also rarely seen without Howie, his best buddy. In the summer, they're most likely to be found with their feet hanging off the dock into the cool of Hoppin' Stream, with Zuzu telling stories while they munch on a basket of... yep, you guessed it, dandelions.

Often enough, if you stand around Zuzu's house and say "YUM" real loud, Opie will suddenly pop out of nowhere, wondering if you've got something besides dandelions to eat. No one quite knows where Opie lives, but my best guess would be that Zuzu knows. And he ain't tellin'.
