Squirmy Worm: Undercover Superhero. Always on the lookout for a fresh case of trouble, he travels at speeds that rival a Hairy Woollaballoo…Well, one that’s up to its udder in peanut butter, anyhow.

During those late winter months in Trillium Bramble, when the winter has overstayed its welcome, folks like to give themselves a giggle when they pass Squirmy in the hall at Myrtle’s house…three times in the same afternoon…and he’s still on his way to the kitchen. ‘Squirmy,’ they’ll say, ‘my goodness! You sure give the spring thaw a run for its money!’

But it’s Squirmy’s turn to chuckle, as he arrives with a regal, soporific flourish, just in time for everybody’s favorite: Sunset Snacks in the breakfast nook.

He will not be carried, he will not be hurried. He is resolute in his slow progress across the wide open spaces…of each floorboard. His life is lived on his own terms, and we love him for it.
