The Glump is a friendly rock, or pierre, if you will. There's more than one reason why folks will tell you:

Watch where you step!Found in a variety of colors. It is said by some that such creatures have chameleonic properties, but the Glumps themselves deny it. Which is just what you'd expect them to do, say the same some; if you're into camouflage, surely you have something to hide.
But people who say such things have obviously never actually met a Glump. If they had, they would certainly be more inclined to plant a little patch of alyssum next to the Glump to keep him company, rather than make such rude accusations. But people will say what they will, and the Glumps could frankly care less.
